With an average annual growth rate of over 10%<\/strong>, Vietnam\u2019s aviation market and industry are increasingly attracting investment from Japanese supporting industry enterprises<\/strong>, seeking to connect with the global supply chain<\/strong>. Recently, at the Hanoi Southern Supporting Industrial Park (Hanssip)<\/strong>, a program was held to promote investment, cooperation, and business networking<\/strong> at the Vietnam \u2013 Japan Techno Park Complex<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by Former State President Truong Tan Sang<\/strong>, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung<\/strong>, leaders of central and local authorities, the Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam<\/strong>, and many enterprises engaged in the aerospace supporting industry<\/strong> in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former President Truong Tan Sang, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, provincial leaders of Tay Ninh, representatives of banks, and numerous Vietnamese enterprises<\/strong> participated in the event, which aimed to strengthen connections and support businesses in Hanoi in joining Japan\u2019s high-tech value chains<\/strong> \u2014 especially in the aerospace industry<\/strong>, a sector requiring advanced technology and precision, which is now drawing increasing interest from foreign investors in Vietnam.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ishikawa Isamu<\/strong>, Deputy Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam, praised the scale and development standards<\/strong> of the Hanssip industrial park. He noted that with an area of 640 hectares<\/strong>, Hanssip was designed by Nikken Sekkei<\/strong>, following Japanese industrial park standards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Hanssip, Onaga Co., Ltd. (Japan)<\/strong>, a global aircraft components manufacturer<\/strong>, has invested in production facilities. Its components are currently exported worldwide<\/strong> for use in the aerospace industry<\/strong>. The cooperation between Onaga<\/strong> and Vietnamese enterprises in Hanssip is seen as a model partnership between Vietnam and Japan<\/strong>, reflecting Japan\u2019s \u201cSanpo Yoshi\u201d philosophy<\/strong> \u2014 benefiting three parties: seller, buyer, and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang<\/strong>, Chairman of the Hanoi Supporting Industry Business Association<\/strong> and Chairman of N&G Group<\/strong>, the Vietnamese business community has made great efforts to overcome difficulties and integrate into both domestic and global production chains<\/strong>, aiming for localization, self-reliance<\/strong>, and contributing to national development and economic security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Hoang shared that Phase 1<\/strong> of the Vietnam \u2013 Japan Techno Park Complex<\/strong> has already been completed, with a series of factories from both Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises. The first factory<\/strong>, invested and operated by Onaga Japan<\/strong>, focuses on producing components for aerospace, high-speed rail, semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, construction and agricultural machinery, and dual-use products<\/strong>. Production has begun on a trial basis<\/strong>, following aerospace industry standards<\/strong>, with the support of Boeing Group (USA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that fostering cooperation with developed nations<\/strong>, including Japan, helps Vietnamese enterprises access global technologies, processes, and production certifications<\/strong>, while also providing high-tech training<\/strong> and connecting domestic and international markets<\/strong> \u2014 thereby creating mutual benefits and sustainable development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N&G Group<\/strong>, along with its ecosystem of enterprises, has invested in synchronized industrial infrastructure<\/strong> that meets global production chain standards<\/strong>. Hanssip is comprehensively planned with medical, educational, cultural, and residential facilities<\/strong> for workers, engineers, and experts, creating a favorable foundation for international production cooperation<\/strong>, especially with Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, Mr. Onaga Masaru<\/strong>, Chairman of Onaga Co., Ltd. (Japan)<\/strong>, shared that his company manufactures small aircraft components<\/strong>, such as bushings<\/strong>, used in doors, landing gears, flaps, fuel tanks, and other critical parts<\/strong>. Although small in size, these components must meet strict safety and precision standards<\/strong> for the global aerospace market<\/strong>. The company has invested in modern, environmentally friendly equipment<\/strong> to ensure worker safety<\/strong>. After machining, components undergo surface treatment and plating<\/strong> to guarantee durability and quality<\/strong> in accordance with aerospace standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japanese companies<\/strong> reaffirmed their goal of producing components in Vietnam for export to international markets<\/strong>, while also sharing technologies, manufacturing expertise, and workforce training<\/strong> to promote the sustainable development of Vietnam\u2019s supporting industry supply chain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Mr. Tran Phuong Lam<\/strong>, Deputy General Director of N&G Group Vietnam<\/strong>, stated that industrial parks managed by the Group in Hanoi have reached a 100% occupancy rate<\/strong>. The presence of major investors has created strong demand from satellite enterprises and secondary investors<\/strong>, especially in component manufacturing and supporting industries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N&G Group<\/strong> is currently preparing land resources<\/strong> and ready-built factories<\/strong> for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)<\/strong>, allowing investors to begin production immediately<\/strong> by simply bringing their equipment and workforce. Priority industries include electronics, precision engineering, and high-tech manufacturing<\/strong>, serving both domestic and international production chains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second phase<\/strong> of the industrial park, approved by the Prime Minister<\/strong>, is now under development and will provide ready-built factories ranging from 3,000\u20135,000 m\u00b2<\/strong> and land plots from 2\u20135 hectares<\/strong> for medium-sized enterprises<\/strong>, with 2% of the total land area reserved<\/strong> for SMEs and high-tech enterprises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support localization and financing<\/strong>, the Group is working with financial institutions and the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB)<\/strong> to offer loans for SMEs<\/strong> to purchase equipment and expand production. Additionally, the Group provides technology transfer, product processing support<\/strong>, and technical workforce training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
