{"id":1084,"date":"2019-12-14T23:46:05","date_gmt":"2019-12-14T16:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/35.220.254.114\/wp\/?p=1084"},"modified":"2021-08-24T18:28:56","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T11:28:56","slug":"3-vietnamese-cities-among-worlds-most-visited-destinations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hanssip.net\/?p=1084&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"3 Vietnamese cities among world&#8217;s most visited destinations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\n\tBoth Vietnam\u2019s southern metropolis and the capital Hanoi climbed up one\n place from last year to 31st and 52nd respectively in the annual Top \nCity Destinations Ranking report, released Thursday by the U.K.-based \nglobal business intelligence firm <em>Euromonitor International<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\tDa Nang, the country\u2019s third largest city after HCMC and Hanoi, jumped \nsix places from last year to 90th in the list, which ranked over 400 \ncities around the world based on the number of international tourist \narrivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\tThe report said HCMC received 7.2 million foreign tourist arrivals last\n year and is expected to welcome 8.2 million this year, up 14 percent \nfrom a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img width=\"680\" height=\"408\" src=\"https:\/\/hanssip.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/shutterstock785381596154543604-5428-3309-1576300206_680x4081.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1085\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption> Saigon&#8217;s night splendor is seen from above. Photo by Shutterstocks\/hoami. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\tHong Kong was the most visited with 29 million international tourist \narrivals, followed by Bangkok (24 million) and London (19 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\tAsian cities dominated the global destination rankings thanks to the inexorable rise of Chinese outbound tourism, the <em>Euromonitor&nbsp;<\/em>report said. Asia continued to outpace other regions, accounting for 43 of the top 100 cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\t&#8220;While leading cities have benefited from their own popularity, many \ndestinations are now faced with&nbsp;issues of overcrowding, pollution and \ntransport management.
